The Balzac Museum - Château de Saché will be presenting new layouts of its reception rooms as from April 2015. Continuing on from the work carried out by the museum’s founder and in partnership with the Mobilier National, Indre-et-Loire General Council is busy reinforcing the premises’ Balzacian identity.

The Mobilier National has not only shared its expertise with the Balzac Museum, but also loaned it a range of items for five years renewable, including seats from Saint-Cloud, a cabinet in the style of Boulle, and a selection of cornet vases. The loan is part of a scientific initiative seeking to evoke Balzac’s literary works, “Le Lys dans la Vallée” in particular, by recreating their atmosphere.

To mark the event, the Balzac Museum’s mediators are organizing commentated visits on the Saturdays of 18 April and 23 May 2015 (other dates possible upon reservation, 5 people minimum).
