The Centre Regional Council is organising this first event devoted to "La Loire à Vélo", with a view to promoting the cycle route and enabling one and all to discover and admire the landscapes of World-Heritage listed Val de Loire.
On the day itself, gourmet villages, activities and exhibitions on the Loire and Val de Loire, artistic activities focusing on bicycles, and a free open-air concert in Blois will be among the attractions to enjoy along the way.

Opening of the Blois section
François Bonneau, President of the Centre Region, Christophe Degruelle, President of the Bois-Agglopolys Agglomeration Community, and Marc Gricourt, Mayor of Blois, inaugurated this section on 27 May 2011.
