Orleans’ Municipal and Community Archives and the Pôle d'Archéologie are uploading L'EncyclO, providing a doorway to constantly evolving knowledge via cartographic access and historical timeline access.
The aim is to progressively compile and upload data relating to Orleans’ various sites and buildings as well as to individuals, communities and families that have played major and minor roles alike in the city’s history, with a view to sharing the knowledge accumulated with as many people as possible, whether professionals or otherwise.
L'EncyclO seeks to be a participative project: internauts can simply submit testimonies in the form of commentary beneath each item, or contact the Orleans Archives to propose more structured contributions.
Free presentation, open to all comers, on 9 September 2016 at 6 p.m., Museum of Fine Arts’ auditorium.
