The Ministry for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition is launching the 2018 edition of the National Landscape Prize. This prize aims to promote an innovative landscape initiative at a regional level. The closing date for submitting applications is 11 March.

“The prize-winning initiative must be the fruit of close collaboration between a contracting authority supporting an ambitious regional commitment and an inventive and creative project management team within which the role of the designer-landscape architect is central and dominant.

The winning initiative and its achievements will have to be exemplary both in terms of the results obtained and the way in which they are implemented. They will rely on the specific features of the local landscapes to implement socially, environmentally and economically ambitious regional projects. They will be innovative in terms of the solutions proposed and will be likely to initiate new ways of envisioning the region based on the landscape.”
