The 1st meetings between world heritage mediators brought together 36 people on average per département in each of the four host towns. On top of professional mediators (maisons de Loire, service ville d’art et d’histoire, Pnr, etc.), local officials, Loire heritage promotion and protection associations and tourism stakeholders also took part. Feedback information from these meetings along with a first draft of the action plan for Guideline VIII of the management plan will be available from late May or June. But the communication campaign launched in early-mid April has already gained from the ideas voiced at these meetings.
After an introduction to the Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) of the Loire Valley World Heritage, the morning session gave everyone a clearer insight into the Mission Val de Loire's role across the whole site: network leader, facilitator, resource centre. The objective was to more clearly grasp how its action can be linked with those of local stakeholders in line with the needs and expectations of regions and inhabitants.
During group workshops in the afternoon, the participants were able to review the actions conducted and think about the strategic challenges and future actions to be taken separately or jointly.
100,000 copies (90,000 French and 10,000 English) of the new presentation leaflet for the listed site will be sent out over the tourist season. This will be available from tourist information offices, tourist sites, local authorities and some local shops.
A poster campaign showing the picture of the leaflet cover began at the start of April and will continue until early May. These posters can be seen in shops in Angers (106), Saumur (95), Chinon (59), Tours (231), Amboise (29), Blois (100) and Orléans (102).
1000 40x60 posters are also available from the Mission Val de Loire for all public venues that would like to put them up.
A campaign of table sets, showing the front of the leaflet with the map of the Loire Valley World Heritage, is also under way with 80,000 copies being sent out to 60 to 80 restaurants and brasseries in Tours, Blois, Orléans, Angers, Chinon, Saumur and Amboise.
These various documents take on board the ideas and comments made by the participants in the first meetings of mediators: addition of the list of towns across the listed site, cut-out coupon on the table set, print-run of posters for towns, tourist information offices or other public venues, etc.
Bien reçu !
Nous vous répondrons prochainement.
