Upstream of the “Promenade Artistique de Molineuf” to be held in September 2012, this competition is open to painters, visual artists, engravers, illustrators and other creators, the aim being to give contemporary draughtsmanship a place all of its own and create a “Draughtsmanship Exhibition” as a feature of the Promenade Artistique.
France’s first Renaissance château was built in the village of Molineuf between 1511 and 1524, by François I’s Treasurer Florimond Robertet (remains of Château de Bury). The subject chosen for the competition is therefore “Renaissance or Rebirth” (“Renaissance ou Re-naissance”).
Monochrome drawings (graphite, sepia, red chalk, ink, engraving, etc.). Computer graphics techniques (vector graphics & graphics tablets) are permitted, but no photomontage please!
Deadline for submission of applications: 15 June 2012.
