The French State and Maine-et-Loire département have committed to preserving the archaeological collections obtained through all of the excavation operations carried out in Maine-et-Loire by the various operators (including Pôle Archéologie and INRAP) and to ensuring they can be accessed by researchers. A Research & Preservation Centre (CCE) has been built in Rue de Frémur, near the Pôle archéologie, as part of the Département-level Heritage Preservation Centre.
The building's construction was funded by the French State and the Département owns the land and the archaeological artefacts deposited within.
