The Standing Committee of the Maine-et-Loire departmental council awarded the first contracts of works at its meeting on 14 January 2008.
The objectives of the park, which will focus on horticulture,
are to:
- Act as an innovative mediation tool for school audiences by creating tailor-made, dedicated spaces
- Contribute to the development of tourism and the economy in the department
- Participate in promoting the image of Maine-et-Loire at a national and international level
- Promote the horticultural sector, which was identified as an area with international potential in terms of competitiveness by the French government in 2005.
