The Tour(s)plus urban area community's Val de Luynes Landscape Plan (PPVL) must make it possible to protect the atypical, outstanding and representative character of the Loire identity of the five municipalities encompassed by this area (Berthenay, Luynes, Savonnières, Saint-Etienne-de-Chigny and Saint-Genouph). As a first step, a participatory open forum was organised in Luynes during the European Heritage Days. A landscape questionnaire is also available online.

To garner the general public's ideas and suggestions for safeguarding and promoting Val de Luynes heritage, an initial participatory forum was held in Luynes on Sunday 18 September 2016. This event aimed particularly at finding out how the general public perceive the sweeping landscape, thereby giving residents an active role to play in their living environment.

Once the PPVL initiative had been presented by La Fabrique du lieu (a consultancy design firm in charge of carrying out the project), Franck Lellu, DREAL inspector of sites, talked at greater length about the Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) of the Loire Valley UNESCO site, which includes the PPVL within its perimeter.

Workshops were then put on in the second half of the afternoon for participants: understanding photographs, gathering comments and suggestions in writing or in the form of a collage of cards and sketches of the landscape. All of the information collected during these activities will be analysed and compiled, and a summary of this work will then be presented to technicians and elected representatives.

The research stage is ongoing and a second forum will be held in the first quarter of 2017 on the PPVL territory. In the meantime, the general public is invited to gives its thoughts about the PPVL using the online questionnaire.
