The Special Projects Unit of the World Heritage Centre has just published a booklet going back over ten years of heritage protection and promotion and partnership activities with France.
This UNESCO publication has been prepared with the support of
the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Ministry of Culture
and Communication and Ministry of Ecology, Energy, Sustainable
Development and Urban Planning within the framework of the
France-UNESCO Convention.
It particularly features two initiatives in which the Val de
Loire is closely involved:

Luang Prabang, Laos: support for the conservation and
management of the city

Niger-Loire: governance and culture
Signed in 1997 and then implemented in 1999,
the France-UNESCO Convention for architectural, urban and
landscape heritage is a cooperation tool through which France
provides UNESCO with financial and technical assistance.
