On 3, 4 & 5 June 2015, the managers of French property on the UNESCO World Heritage List and their institutional partners held their 13th annual meetings at Pont du Gard, at the invitation of the Pont du Gard EPCC (public cultural cooperation institution). Mission Val de Loire also attended, with a delegation of 5 people including Mélanie Fortier, member of the union committee.

The General Meeting was followed by a debate on the economy of world heritage sites.

The association's various working committees then got together to take stock of 2014 activities and draw up the programme for the months to come. Key points are as follows:

  • The 1st training for world heritage guides was organised in September 2014 in partnership with Mission Val de Loire and 3 Loire Valley mediators took part. It proved a success and a second session will therefore be run in early 2016.
  • The proceedings of the technical seminar "Urban planning and world heritage" held on 22 January 2014 were published and handed out during these meetings.
  • A preview of the short animation film presenting the association and French properties will be shown at the next World Heritage Committee meeting in Bonn from 28 June to 8 July 2015. This film rounds off the association's and its members' communication materials: the presentation pack, website and newsletter.
  • Note that the association will be organising the 1st meeting of European world heritage associations on 15 and 16 October 2015 in Strasbourg.
