The University of Orléans is undertaking a promotional/research project on the Volubilis archaeological site in Morocco which is listed as a World Heritage site. This project is part of the cooperation between the Centre-Loire Valley and Mekhnès-Tafilalet regions, and is funded by the regional research assistance programme. Mission Val de Loire will be involved in the promotion/adoption aspects.
For its 25th International Garden Festival, Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire is organising an international competition on the theme "Gardens for the coming century".
The School for Nature and Landscape (INSA Centre-Loire Valley) and Joint Lab 7324 CITERES (CNRS, University of Tours)-Zone Atelier Loire are launching a call for applications for the international symposium that they are organising in Blois on 16 and 17 March 2016. This symposium is part of the Nature and Landscape 2016 biennial event, "Arbre(s)" (Tree(s)) planned by the Loir-et-Cher Council of Architecture, Urban Planning and the Environment (CAUE), Agglopolys and Centre-Loire Valley National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA).
The "Renaissance de Loire" exhibition space at the Maison de la Loire du Loir-et-Cher won the Top Tourism Award in the Top Family category. This prize was awarded on 5 October 2015 in Blois, before some 300 tourism professionals.
