Orleans Municipal Archives have onlined this exhibition, which was originally mounted in the Municipal Archives’ display cabinets from 4 June to 6 October 2009.
From King René’s gardens to the latest contemporary creations designed with ecological concerns in mind, such as Angers’ Balzac Park, this book on Anjou’s parks and gardens throughout history takes readers on a stroll through time and Maine-et-Loire landscapes. Combining Anjou’s history with that of garden art, architecture, landscape and horticulture, he presents the many private and public sites in all their richness and diversity.
The names of the 13 winners of the 8th edition of Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Nature Park’s Eco-Trophy Competition were revealed on 10 November 2015. The competition rewards local actors (associations, farmers, businesses, etc.) whose innovative initiatives / achievements combine economic development with social concerns and respect for the environment.
2015 has been marked by the National Estate of Chambord’s international development. On 19 September 2015, following the two twinning agreements signed with Pekin’s former Summer Palace (2014) and Udaipur’s City Palace (India) at the beginning of this year, Chambord signed a partnership convention with La Venaria Reale in Piedmont.
A hearing of foresight experts is to be held in Orleans on 15 December 2015 with a view to furthering the Ligerian initiative on adaptation to the impacts of climate change launched by the Loire Public Establishment in 2007.
