25 June 2014 saw the inauguration of a new building belonging to the Centre for Higher Renaissance Studies (CESR), a mixed research unit under the joint aegis of François-Rabelais University, Tours, and the CNRS. The new space will be given over to the “Intelligence des Patrimoines” programme providing a fresh approach to territorial promotion combining scientific research and the socioeconomic world to a single end.
On Saturday 28 June 2014, a public holiday, some sixty people attended the inauguration of an exhibition on this experiment, in the presence of the municipality’s elected officials and Mission Val de Loire, a partner of the project. For several months, local inhabitants took part in the drafting of a project for their municipality, with the help of researchers and practitioners engaged in this piece of action research, which is part of a programme under the Ministry of Sustainable Development.
This publication by François Priet and Philippe Tanchoux of the University of Orléans is published by Presses Universitaires Rennes with the support of the Public Authorities body of the university. It deals with legal arrangement issues of the concepts of world heritage properties and outstanding universal value (OUV).
On Tuesday 29 April 2014, this training initiative day brought together some twenty heritage mediators - "Villes et Pays d’art et d’histoire" group leaders, lecturer guides, educational group leaders from wine museums, etc. This fell within the scope of the 2014 interregional cooperation initiatives project "Showcasing and promoting Loire Valley vineyards", a European Leader programme, bringing together the Loire Touraine GAL (Local Action Group), the Vignoble Nantais GAL and the Layon Saumurois GAL.
