From 12 to 16 November 2014, on the initiative of the SGMAP (General Secretariat for the Modernisation of Public Action) and in partnership with the 27th Region, the State and local authorities will be putting the spotlight on a Civil Service on the move. Mission Val de Loire and the pOlau urban arts centre are also participating.
The public enquiry on the joint association of Pays de Loire en Layon public authorities’ Territorial Coherence Plan (SCOT) and Commercial Development Document, decided upon on 3 June 2014 following deliberations, will open on Wednesday 15 October 2014 for a period of 36 days, up to Wednesday 19 November 2014 inclusive.
The next Rendezvous of the Loire Valley World Heritage will be held on Tuesday 25 November at the Tours International Conference Centre, from 9:45am to 5:30pm. These meetings, nowadays organised every two years by Mission Val de Loire, are a unique chance to bring together all stakeholders involved and to talk about each one's present situation.
A new statue, a piece by the artist Anny Barrois (1944-2013), will be erected on 18 October 2014 at the "Grave of Saint Gatien", at the corner of rues Alleron and Georges-Courteline, which, according to tradition, is the place where the first bishop of Tours was buried around the year 300.
Since the beginning of September 2014, the Château de Sully has been home to 43 pieces of furniture on loan from the Mobilier National for at least five years. Benjamin Fendler, manager of the château, requested this loan in 2012 to continue the work initiated 10 years ago to bring the château back to life, with restoration works and investments from the Loiret General Council.
