The Installations Expérimentales Mutualisées (INEM – shared experimental installations) developed by the IRHS (Institut de Recherche en Horticulture et Semences / institute for research on horticulture and seeds, which brings together Anjou’s top researchers on plant biology) were inaugurated in early November. Located in the heart of the Campus du Végétal, INEM comprises 3000 m² of new greenhouses, cultivation rooms and plastic tunnels (bringing Agrocampus Ouest’s existing equipment up to a total of 7000 m²) with the goal of sharing and rationalising resources while providing a state-of-the-art experimental and educational facility.

On 6 November 2014, 430 secondary-school pupils and students from the Tours urban area took over La Gloriette plain with the aim of cleaning up the banks of the Cher and Petit-Cher and planting young trees and bushes. Result: 2.5 dumpsters of garbage collected and 3000 trees planted along with 150 extra young shoots.
Saumur’s theatre, which had been closed to the public since June 2008, reopened its doors on Tuesday 2 December 2014 with its first show sold out. The present building, which was designed by the architect Joly-Leterme in 1866, has undergone a number of successive restorations, above all following the destructions of 1940, which resulted in the present project, initiated in 2000.
Held in Orleans on Wednesday 10 December 2014 and organised by the Loire Public Establishment, this free event is open to all comers and aims to be an opportunity for exchange of experience and transfer of know-how with regard to cooperation on integrated management of river basins. The day will combine theme-based roundtables and targeted encounters with cooperation project partners.
