The landscapes of the Loire Valley – a World Heritage – can be perceived on 3 characteristic levels.
- a river and its tributaries in a wide valley lined by hillsides,
- buildings overlooking the Loire and flanked by farmland and woodland,
- a sweeping landscape with views from one riverbank to the other and from one hillside to the other.
Today, the valley's landscape identity is under threat from certain forms of development.
How can it be protected?
How can it be promoted?
How can it be renewed?
These are questions for each and every one of us, inhabitant or visitor, as a citizen and as an elected representative, economic stakeholder or association volunteer of the Loire Valley.
